Hi, I live in Utah and am contemplating if i should have my reception on a thursday or friday. I'm sure a friday would generally be better but with my situation im not exactly sure. my ceremony is in the temple so fridays and saturdays there are triple as many brides as a thursday so i feel it will be less crowded on the grownds for pictures, etc. then, my reception is around 6:30 ish. i havent quite decided on that yet. as for the day...im getting married august 11 (thursday). OR august 12 (friday). I think there is pros and cons to both and i just cant make a decision. its in the summer so i figure that lots of people will want go out of town on a friday. and it just seems like a friday would be easier. at the same time a thursday attract people who wanted to keep there friday free. im just wondering if there will really be that big of a difference on the outcome of people if i do it on a thurs vs. fri. i get different opinions from everyone so i just wanted a professional view. also...my reception is very close to where everyone lives so that really isnt a factor. thanks

If you have any guests who need to travel and/or have to work on Thursday they might find it difficult to get to your service (Thursday evening), on time. Plus, most people will have to work on Friday and may not feel like staying out late on a Thursday night.
