wording on Reception invitations 6 weeks after intimate wedding

Should I mention the parents as hosts (grooms family paying for it). I'm thinking yes as the groom's last name is different from the parents' last name and you want the guests to make the connection...

Do you mention the wedding details that most reception guests were not invited to? (when, where and explain that the gov't only gives 90 days for marriage when you enter the country on a Fiance's Visa - therefore the small quick wedding?) Thanks!

Dear MomFro,

The host's names aren't usually mentioned on these. We have many posts concerning this issue. You might want to read them. We also have an article about wedding/reception invitation etiquette Please read it to get a lot more information about invitations.

This is how the invitation would appear:

The pleasure of your company
is requested at the
wedding reception of
Married Couple
Date
Time
Location

(Optional: Black tie requested)

RSVP

Address

We don't mention wedding details on the invitation. Please read our many posts about this by using the search tool.

Best wishes,
