Backdrop for altar - ceremony decorations

My fiance' and I are having our wedding next November in the ballroom of a country club. The reception will be held at the same venue. I am looking for ideas for decorating the ceremony area. My colors are claret, white and silver and we're incorporating red/white roses and petals along with candles and crystals. The area where my fiance and I will stand to exchange vows is a bit bare and I'd like some type of backdrop that does not include a lattice, columns- but something truly original. I was thinking of having four or five crystal six foot wedding trees serve as the back drop for our nuptials-- any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

You might consider getting 7 foot tall curly willow or red twig dogwood branches and uplighting them with spotlights. Then, if you hang them with chandelier crystals they would look awesome. I did a wedding with a similar treatment on the tables and it was one of the best yet. Not sure what a wedding tree is but the general idea sounds like a good start. Have fun...
