We are hosting a wedding reception for my daughter and fiance at a hotel ballroom. Upon viewing the set-ups there, I was curious as to why the hotel would have round tables for l0 guests each, yet the table coverings were square or rectangular. When we walked in the ballroom, we would see either the points hanging down in front of a chair or the gaps between where we could view all the table and chair legs. Chair covers are out of our budget there as they would add another $1500 for 200 guests, but when used they do hide the legs. Would it be less costly to rent round table cloths? The banquet manager tells us we can enter to decorate only one hour before the reception scheduled at 5 pm. In addition to hiding the chair and table legs, I like the effect of adding more white to the room since the walls, carpeting and chair upholsery is a rose color and may not blend with the wedding colors my daughter will choose. Help! Am I being fussy?

Unfortunately, the square cloths on the round tables seems to be predominant at many reception halls. To cover some of the metal, you can price out table cloths and have them delivered to the reception site, their staff should be able to put the cloths on for you.
