I am making most of the center pieces myself with some help from bridal party. These will be boxes I plan to put favors in and candleholders. I also plan some other decorations like vase with flowers. I plan on giving members of the wedding party each a box, and candle holder and keep at least 1 each for my Fh and me. Do I need to make an announcement or leave a note explaining that these are not for guests to just take. I plan on labeling each on the bottom who gets it, but I am kind of worried about guests taking off with them as they are to be part of wedding party gifts and each one takes at least 10 hours to make a piece. If it wasn't for the time issue I'd make one for everyone but with 300 plus guest and only 13 months I'd never have time to do so. I'm more afraid about the boxes walking off then the candle holders as the favors are going to be in them.

Dear Centerpieces,
In your case it seems that an announcement would be great. You could make the announcement closer to the end of the reception so you avoid the problem you were mentioning.
