I am renting two large tents for my outside summer wedding to shade guests from the sun. I was just curious if anyone had any idea how to decorate the poles of the tents? I am doing all the decorating so any ideas would be very heplful...
You can use yards and yards of tulle with rope or white lights (battery operated) in them to dress up the poles or you can set a rented palm or ficus tree at each pole to soften them. Nancy Tucker President of Weddings Beautiful US http://www.weddingsbeautiful.com
You can wrap the poles in broad matching ribbon using your wedding colors, similar to a "May Pole" look.
If you like the delicate sounds of wind chimes, take advantage of the tent and hang a few small ones in the corner area near the poles. As the wind sighs through the tent, the chimes would add a nice touch.
Long sheer light weight lace curtains could be pinned to the top edge of the tent a ways from the pole, then let drape down the pole, and the two curtains gathered at the middle of the pole using gold tassled ropes, creating an elegant drape.
