My fiance and I are planning our wedding for June 10th, 2006. We have run into the problem of not having any idea how to decorate for the ceremony or reception and are looking for ideas at least where to begin. We do not have a theme and it is going to be a simple, small ceremony. We estimate about 100-125 guests. Any ideas where we can at least begin?

Can you provide more details such as what the venues are like? Top Wedding Questions Forum Moderator - "Write your sorrows in the sand, your blessings in stone".
Both the ceremony and the reception are being held in an Evangelical church. I really am not sure what specifics you are looking for. There will be 10 tables plus the bridal table for the reception is about all I can think to say, without knowing what exactly you want the specifics based on.
Give us some colors and styles of the rooms. Describe the rooms. Top Wedding Questions Forum Moderator - "Write your sorrows in the sand, your blessings in stone".
Our colors are a light pink and yellow. The room the ceremony will be in is a little bigger than the size of a basketball court. And the reception hall is around the size of half a football field. If it is helpful to getting advise I may be able to find out more specific dimensions.
Actually, in order to really provide you some good decorating suggestions, I'd need to know a lot more about your reception venue. For instance, what size are your table (round or square), what type of chairs are at the tables, what colors are present in the room, how is the lighting, etc. To that end, I recommend that you go to your local library or bookstore and look at some wedding books that focus on receptions. Often, visual examples are very good for stimulating ideas and you should be able to find some really good things that can be easily modified to suit your taste and style. I agree. Not knowing how formal your affair is makes this difficult also. Scanning magazines and books really is a very helpful way to plan for your decorations. Rebecca Black, Etiquette Now
