     beach theme wedding

My wedding is going to be by the beach, so my cake is going to with shells and everything, my wedding planer wants to do a wishing tree so guests could place well wishing envelopes for us or even money if they want to. My question is, I think it's going to look like a Christmas Tree, so I'd like some idea that has to do with my theme, such as big bowl with sand on, and guests woul place envelopes on it, I don't know. Please give me ideas!!!!!! Thanks so much!!!!!!

Dear Treed,

The biggest problem here is the etiquette involved. It is never appropriate to ask your guests for money. This is what these trees are used for. If it was just for pinning wishes, that would be fine, but it rarely is.

This most likely will not be viewed positively by your guests. Many planners do not know proper etiquette, so she may not realize this.

Best wishes,
