     centerpiece decorations

I am getting married in October. I am using a single layer round 8 inch cake on each of my round reception tables. I am having difficulty coming up with decorating ideas to complete the centerpiece.

Dear Michelles,

How about simple rose petals and votives?

SmileWell, ok...Lets start with the Smilequestions and Smilework it out.

First , is the cake decorated or plain? If it is plain How about a great big happy sunflower, a little handtied bouquet of flowers with a big loopy trailing ribbon, a pair of open roses, a table number and rose petals on top.

If it is already decorated be sure it is wedding like and really pretty...It can be a fun idea.

What sort of theme colors and look are you going for?

If you are indoors and at all elegant you should probably rim it with votive candles...I think you can never have enough anyway at a wedding. They spark it up really nicely.

Outdoors go a bit more earthy, Loose seashells if you are near the beach, rose petals, little sheaths of wheat, fortune cookies, postcards to write blessings, hersheys kisses, "perfect pears," apples from grandmas tree....open the creative gates and it will come.

Another good way to dress up a table is with with nicle colored napkins set on each plate. Have your favors on the tables or the plates. Or have some other sort of visual accent about the place. Hope this helps and have fun!!!!

All the Best...sue
