Our wedding date falls on the harvest moon this year, but I don’t really want oranges and yellows for my colours,we were hoping to have our colours to be natural shades of blue and maroons, I would also like to tie in the full harvest moon to our reception , any ideas that would fit and look good for our harvest moon reception and party( but not too fallish) would be great
In terms of decorating, you might want to consider a celestial theme, which would be beautiful with candles and/or special lighting. For your centerpieces, you could make or purchase stained glass votive candle holders with the moon in different phases, having your wedding completing the circle (i.e. the culmination of the event ending in a FULL moon).
If you're utilizing audio visual at your reception, you could incorporate the theme into your custom video montage which would be displayed on large screen or on available wall or ceiling of the venue where your reception will be held. Your guests and family would enjoy that I'm sure.
Regarding music considerations, there are lots of songs that include the word "MOON", and a good amount of fun could be had incorporating MOON songs along with everything else.
