     help with wedding theme/colors

I am having a late August summer wedding and iIknow my fiance likes gold and I like sage green. But, I also love deep red roses and want them as decoration. How can I incorporate all these colors into my wedding theme? Help!!

Your wedding day is your chance to capitalize on your style as a couple. Your ideas so far sound very elegant.

Gold and metallics are great accent touches: whether it be a gold rimmed charger, a gold embossed monogram on your favors or other accent pieces, gold and metallics say "this is a grand affair." With that being said, you definitely don't want to "overdo" the gold factor and cheapen the look of your big day.

As far as the sage green color, your linens would be a very striking in this shade, but I would recommend consulting with a designer before choosing a shade of green. You want to make sure that the green will compliment the florals and other decor.

For your flowers, you can do them all in the deep red color for a dramatic and elegant look. Depending on your venues "feel" you can utilize the colors you have mentioned in various forms. You might possibly consider tying the red into the rest of your table decor by doing your favors in red or a program for the reception in red; both of which can be set on your guests' charger.

I think you are off to a great start. Colors can really make or break the look of your big day. Consider hiring a design specialist if you run into problems down the road, and remember, we are always here for you!
