I need help! I am having my reception at the only place within miles from my house (which is where the ceremony is taking place) and it just happens to be a bull sales barn. It's actually a really neat building, and it's in a reception hall, but the hall is used for sale parties and the walls are covered in pictures of bulls sold by the ranch in years past! There are probably 20 pictures on the main wall, each about 2' x 3', no frames, just a picture of a bull standing there, with a number and a name under it. How can I cover these up?? We are having a simple yet classic wedding with a country feel. So far decorations in the hall include white table linens with sage and lavender runners on the table (those are my colors) with mason jars on the tables: a big one holding tulips and little ones holding votives. My dress is a simple ivory v-neck, men are wearing black tuxes, ladies sage tea lenghth dresses. There is a huge pine bar in the room with cowboy decorations around it, but we don't want to make it too cowboy. We are hanging white lights where we can, and placing potted trees around, but there are those pictures to hide. Any ideas?

Unfortunately, many venues are very strict about putting anything on the walls, or hanging, nailing, etc anything that may alter the structure. What you may want to consider is having an event designer come in and set up plastic piping and draping up that will do two things. One, hide the photos on the wall, and two, create ambiance that is more conducive to the type of atmosphere it sounds like you want to create. If this is not in the budget, then you will need to focus on the space of the venue and do what you can to take away from the bull photos.

Thanks for the ideas! I am pretty certain we won't be able to hire someone to come and decorate. The nearest city where you would find someone like that is about 2 1/2 hours away, so that won't work. But I will definately find out about their policy on hanging things on the walls. Thanks.
