     Father of the bride speech

Hi there,

My mate has asked me for some help on writing a speech for his daughters wedding. I was wondering if you could give me some tips on what he should talk about?

Hi Lee,

As the Father of the Bride, your friend should include his wishes for his daughter's happiness with her new husband, and should also include a formal welcome of the Groom into the family.

Additionally, this is a great time to thank the guests for attending and celebrating with the family, and announce that the festivities may now begin.

Your friend can make his speech as sentimental as he likes, reminicing over his daughter's childhood and her accomplishments, or he can make it short and sweet. Either way, as long as it comes from the heart, it will be great!
