     No toasts or speeches?!?

My fiance and I have decided that we do not want any speeches or toasts at the reception. We have asked someone to MC the wedding and he has agreed to say something short and sweet. Instead of speeches we have put together a short presentation (with our videographer) that we will show to the guests. The presentation tells our story in our own unique way. Also, although we are not having speeches my fiance and I will get up and make a small speech thanking our family, bridal party, and guests. Is this okay? Thank you.

This is not traditional, however, is perfectly okay especially since you and your groom will be doing a thank you speech.

Dear No Toasts,

This is perfectly fine and in good taste.
