I have an awful genetic flaw that when I speak in public I turn bright red. I am the MOH in my sister's wedding and, I know I have to give a toast but, I want people to listen to the words not stare and possibly laugh at my very red face. I am already anxious about doing this but I am commited to it. Any hints on how to give the MOH speech?

Actually, the MOH speech is a relatively new trend. So, you could opt out. In fact, all speeches are optional. But, if you truly want to give one, admit the red face. And, it may help to focus on your sister and not all the people in the room. Perhaps you can ditch the written speech and speak from the heart as well. Often, when we begin the speech (even for me) the first few seconds are tough. Then as we get into the heart of the speech and others are involved, by our involvement, we lose that "butterfly feeling" and feel more comfortable.
As a back-up it may be best to have a written speech to sneak a peek at every once in a while. Sometimes if we are very shy, this is our only way to deliver a speech. In any case, keep the speech very short and sweet. Don't try humor if you don't do humor well. It may sound odd :)
