When are the wedding speeches made?

When would the father of the bride make his speech? Is it at the rehearsal dinner or the reception? And as far as the best man, when would he give his toast/speech also?

Dear Toasting,

All toasts are optional and can be customized. Typically though, the father of the bride gives a speech during the rehearsal dinner. He may give one after the best man (first) and the wedding couple (groom and then bride).

Best wishes,
