Who does the father of the bride toast?

Hi
Who does the father of the bride toast and what should be the theme of his speech?

Hi Derek -

The Father of the bride toast is typical done by the father of the bride. However, if the father of the Bride is not around, then it can be someone close to the bride like an uncle, or even grandfather. Whomever it is, it will typical be someone who has been a father figure to the Bride

The Theme of the speech will vary. Some choose to reflect on the bride as a little girl and then talk about her growing up. It can be about the how proud you are of her.

Which ever way you chose to go amongst your well wishes for the bride's happiness with her new husband, you'll want to welcome the Groom to the family, thank the guests for attending and celebrating with the family, and announce that the festivities may now begin.
