     mother and step mother together

I am father of the groom, and will be doing the traditional toast. My wife and former wife (mother of my son) will be present, as well as their mothers (I guess that would be grandmother and step-grandmother).

Everyone gets along (finally!!)

Do I mention each? If yes, how? If no, then what?

Dear Johnathome,

No, you would be directing your speech to your son and his new wife. An MC or DJ could refer to the other family members.

Best wishes,

I wouldn't specifically mention them, but you can speak about uniting family, the support of so many people who love them, etc. No matter how well you get along, it will be uncomfortable for everyone if you specifically refer to the past relationships. Stick to wishing the best for a bright new future, and you'll be fine.
