3 stone ring as wedding ring?

I have been married for several years and I am having a big milestone anniversary/recommitment ceremony. Is it ok if I want to replace my wifes original bridal set and use a 3 stone (past, present, future) ring as her primary wedding ring?

I know what a wedding band is, but is a wedding ring and engagement ring the same or do women really have to wear 3 rings to show they are married?

Dear Recommiting,

Your wife really only needs one ring. It is her choice if she wants to wear an engagement ring. Three rings would be quite a bit on one finger, but that would be her choice also. So, you may want to ask her what she would like to do.

Plus, it is perfectly acceptable to give her a new ring as a statement of your continued love.

Best wishes,
