The ring I have purchased for my soon-to-be wife, is a three-stone princess-cut ring with a .70 in the center flanked by two .40's... I love the ring, but I had a local jeweler tell me (without seeing it): "Those are anniversary rings, not engagement".
HELP!

It's not necessary to see a photo. Any ring you select as an engagement ring is appropriate. If you and your fiance like it, it's an engagement ring! I have seen all sorts of stones and settings used. Top Wedding Questions Forum Moderator - "Write your sorrows in the sand, your blessings in stone".
