I would like to have my wedding band crafted with red stone accents to commemorate the colors of our wedding. My engagement ring is thin and I would like for the wedding band to be thin also. I think it is a unique idea and being thin would not be over powering. What are your thoughts?

Re: [Mrswilliams21] Can the stones in the wedding band be colored?

Dear MrsWilliams21,
Absolutely. A wedding band with colored stones can create a very unique wedding band that will be personalized to you.
I would recommend considering the following:
Use natural gemstones if available rather than synthentic, such as rubies, as synthentic or treated stones can lose their color over time and are not strong enough to withstand the tests of time.
Also, a beautiful combination can be alternating rubies and diamonds.
A thin band would also be fine -- the trick is just finding the right ring, the right width, at the right price. It may take a little research to find the right jeweler to create such a ring for you. Be sure to have your engagement ring available so they can make something to match, especially a ring that will sit at the same height as your engagement ring, so they fit together well.
