I have a soliataire asscher cut 1 carat engagement ring. I would like to get a channel set asscher cut wedding band. Is there any reason why this wouldn't work?

I'm hoping it's alright that I'm replying because I'm not one of the experts from the site here, but I do work at a jewelry store so I might be able to help, and I noticed no one has replied to your post yet.
Most jewelry stores have restyling/remount events. Walk around inside your local mall and ask all the jewelry stores if they are doing a restyle/remount event. If there is one coming up soon (there most likely will be somewhere), sign up for an appointment and let them know what you are looking for. If he knows what to bring, the jeweler will be able to custom make you a matching band for your ring in whatever style and diamonds you would like.
Also, ask if jewelers can custom order bands. Most of them have books full of mountings, bands, and other merchandise that they do not carry out on the floor, but can order for you. You may find what you are looking for that way.
