My now-fiancé bought me a beautiful 1-carat grade D colorless diamond engagement ring. It's platinum with double-tapered baguette-shape dark blue sapphire sidestones, which really sets off the colorless quality.
We've looked at plain wedding bands, but I think I would really like to have a diamond wedding band (channel-set rounds is my first inclination). However, I haven't been able to find any better than G/H color diamonds in such a band, and I'm afraid they'll look too yellow next to my gorgeous engagement ring (because they look slightly yellow in the picture). A friend of mine has a stone that's like H or I, and when you hold it up next to my D, it's kind-of obvious. Should I just not worry about that?

Re: Colorless diamonds in wedding band?

Hi, it is difficult to find smaller diamonds in the D quality range.
I believe if you went with a G Color diamond, it might not be bad, but I would be sure the jeweler you speak to is reputable and is really G color, because a lot of jewelers will say "G-H" and it really could mean H, not G.
You want to be sure to get as closer as you can, but I would not worry about it too much if it is for the side band. Afshin from Apples of Gold Jewelry Professional Jeweler
