My boyfriend proposed with an absolutely gorgeous ring. It's so stunning that I don't want a wedding band. I know you're supposed to wear your engagement ring on your left hand, then add your wedding band at the ceremony, but now that I won't have a band how would being engaged look different than being married?
I'm wearing the ring on my right hand ring finger right now, but everyone keeps telling me i'm wearing it on the wrong finger. I'm torn as to how to let people know it's an engagement ring, but still make it special once I'm married. Help. Fast.

Oh, so I could still get a wedding band and just not have to wear them together? I never thought of that.

Right, you can wear the engagement ring on your right hand once you are married. There's treally no law stating you must wear your engagement ring, or even the wedding band, on any particular finger; it's just what's expected. If you want others to know you are engaged then wear the engagement ring on the left; same for the wedding band once you are married. Wonderful idea. I'm not one to boast good news, so I want people to notice without telling them. I just moved it to my right hand. I'm excited I still get to have 2 rings! Thanks so much for your fast response.
