     Loose stone in engagement ring

Hi ,

How common is it for a stone to become loose ? I would appreciate input , and possible reasons to why this happens. I should clarify the enagement ring has been worn for about 4 months.

I know I won't have a problem with my jeweller , however , I would still like to know how common this is.

Thank you kindly ,

Chantal

I suggest you take the ring back to the place of purchase and tell them that the stone is loose. They should be happy to tighten the stone for you. Be careful you are not getting the prongs that holds the stone caught in your clothing, that will sometimes loosen the stone. There should not be a charge for that service. Good luck.
