     Ring Positioning

I have a silly question that I could not find in another post.

If you choose to wear your wedding and engagement rings together, which would be closer to the knuckle?

Also, when you exchange rings during the ceremony, would you wear your engagement ring on your Right hand and then move it over to the left afterwards? I would guess that your left ring finger should be empty during the ceremony.

Thank you ......

Dear Killerbee1970,

Yes you will have your engagement ring on your right hand for the ceremony. And the band goes first with the engagement ring in front of it. The band is closest to the vein in the finger which connects it to the heart.

Between the two, the wedding ring would be closest to your knuckle (or closest to the heart as tradition would have it).

As for the ceremony, you could elect to place your engagement ring on your right hand so your left third finger is ready to receive the wedding ring.

Cheers!
