Sister buying wedding ring for brother

My brother and his fiance are getting married this summer. He proposed to her without a ring because they just bought a condo and now have to pay for the wedding. I wanted to know if it would be an insult to offer to pay for an engagement ring or for wedding rings. I am assuming they would want them but not sure how it would be perceived. Could I just offer it as a wedding gift? Any suggestions you can offer would be greatly appreciated.

Dear Sis,

That is a very nice gesture. You could offer them a set amount of cash as a wedding gift stating that you just wanted to help them purchase a ring, thus the thought of giving them their gift early. This way they can choose the ring (s) they prefer.

Best wishes,
