Time between buying the ring and proposing

If a man buys an engagement ring, and the woman knows about it, what could be considered an appropriate amount of time to wait before proposing to her?

Dear Waiting with Ring,

If she knows about it, she is probably dying to see it. Choose a romantic moment, say...any time, and propose.

There really is no set amount of time. It just has to feel right.

Best wishes,
