     Wedding Band and Engagement Ring

My boyfriend got me an engagement ring. The wedding band and engagement ring are already fused together. Will I be able to separate them without damaging the ring? I want to wait untill our wedding to wear the wedding band and I would like to separate them. Please help!!

Take the rings to your local jeweler, ask him to separate the two rings where they were soldered or fused together. This should be no problem for the jeweler. Do not worry very small job. Good luck

Thank you for replying to my question. I will take my ring to the jeweler. I was wondering, how much does is usually cost to have the bands seperated? And how long does is usually take?

Tanya, to separate the two rings should take no longer than twenty minutes, and the two rings will need to be polished once their taken apart. The cost should be around $25.00, that is the normal and fair charge. It also depends on how soon you need them and how busy the jeweler is and will he be doing the work on his premises. Good luck
