When a man wears the wedding band

I just purchased my fiance's wedding band. I am the bride..and he has already given me my engagement ring when he proposed. I am planning on giving him his ring that I had designed for him soon, as a surprise. Can he wear it till the wedding...or do I just show him...put it on to make sure it fits..and then hold on to it till the wedding?? How does that work?

Dear Designer,

Sorry, but he can't wear it until the wedding. It is a wedding ring. Of course he can try it on to make sure it fits.
