I have been with my boyfriend for over ten years now. I am 26 and he just turned 30. We are extremely happy together and have lived togethr for over 5 years. We've always talked about getting married some day, but I'm finally to the point where I want him to propose soon and I don't want to wait any longer. Anyway, I recently got the mail and saw a bill from a local jeweler. I immediately got excited, but I didn't want him to know that I saw it. So, I put it back in the mail box and let him get the mail when he got home from work. He never said anything, so I think he thinks that he got away with a close call. Anyway, my question for you is this...how long does it normally take a guy to finally pop the question once he has boughten the ring? Is it possible that he doesn't yet have the actual ring and that he's only purchased it? I'm getting really anxious and I don't know how much longer I can wait. Any thought? Thanks!

This isn't the sort of question any of us can answer. You'll have to wait find out from your fiance. If you cannot wait then perhaps you should come clean and let him know you saw the bill. However, be prepared to either disappoint him by ruining the surprise or disappoint yourself if the jewelry wasn't an an engagement ring.
Let us know how this turns out.
