My theory is... as long as it comes from the heart.. but im Just curious to know what others think. My boyfriend (now fiance) proposed to me with a beautiful, unusual ring. It's almost like a wedding band, white gold with LOVE inscribed on it and underneath the band it has 2 hearts. I LOVE IT! It's simple, and the most part, HE PICKED IT. i was just wondering if other couples do that?? or is it only proper to propose with an "actual" engagment ring... now for our wedding rings.. we plan to get a set for me. since we will be able to pay them over months time frame. you know the one that comes with the engagement and the wedding band.. and then i will just wear this ring on my right hand, is that okay to do?

Dear Loves the Ring,
He can give you any type of ring he wants. It really doesn't matter as long as you like it and there is real meaning behind the ring.
He sounds like a sweet person to have picked this out for you :)
You can definitely wear this on your right hand after the wedding.
