     engagement and wedding ring

When you go to get a wedding ring, does the man who is proposing buy the Bridal Set? I'm not sure if, because there are two rings in the set, one of the rings are the engagement ring. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Traditionally, the man would purchase the engagement ring and perhaps both members of the couple would choose a wedding ring together. However, more couples are choosing rings together these days. It is appropriate for him to pay for her rings, but of course as in all things the couple will be doing together in the future, they could pay for everything together.

When there are two rings in a set, one is an engagement ring.
