My fiance gave me an exquisite engagement ring. It is a wide pave diamond band with an ascher cut diamond. We are wondering if it is necessary to buy a matching wedding band or if we could buy a less expensive, plain band for the wedding day. And... after the wedding, must i wear the wedding band with the engagement ring, or is it faux pas not to do so?
