Because my fiance has sensitive skin and can't stand anything on his hands, he doesn't plan on wearing a wedding ring. My question is, should we even bother buying the real thing? Just something token like to get us through the ceremony seems like a realistic and economical move. What is the precedent for a couple that don't advertise their union by wearing rings on a daily basis? Is this totally out-of-bounds?

Dear No Rings,
A ring is merely a symbol. Plus, men haven't always worn rings. This is relatively new. So, you could simply not include this in your ceremony.
