My fiance and I were planning to buy platinum wedding bands. I have a platinum engagement ring. But the other day I saw an awesome white gold ring, and they don't have it in platinum. Is it ok to wear white gold and platinum together? Would the colors match? Would there be a problem with metals reacting and changing colors? Also he wants to have a platinum band. Is it ok to combine white gold (hers) and platinum (his)?
Thanks.

Since platinum and white gold are two different metals they will look and age differently. I have 2 suggestions, you can either dip the white gold ring into platinum or see if a jeweler can make the ring in platinum.
As for the his and hers rings being different metals, that is fine. As long as you both get what you like, the metal type doesn't matter if they are the same or different.
