second wedding ring set with 10 yr vow renewal

We are renewing our vows on our 10 year anniversary. My husband purchased a new wedding/bridal ring set. What is customary? Do I wear my new ring over my old wedding ring or on my right hand or can I wear my old set on my right hand and wear the new engagement ring on my left hand?

Dear Amanda,

These rings are meant to replace your old ones. So, it is your choice to do as you wish. Most wear the old ones on the ring hand if they wear them at all.

Please remember that this isn't a wedding and plan well, especially if you are inviting guests. Please read more about vow renewal etiquette.

Best wishes,
