about a year into our relationship my now fiance gave me a promise ring, I used to wear it on my left hand but too many people critisized that it looked like a wedding band so i now wear it on my right. He bought be a matching engagement ring/wedding band set when we got engaged and I am currently wearing my engagement ring on my left hand with the promise ring on the right. I don't like having rings on both of my hands but if i wear them together it definitely looks too much like a wedding ring.
As the promise ring is a similar size/shape/style to the wedding band I would like to wear all three rings together because i think it looks more balanced (my mother had a similar situation with an aniversary ring but it was made specifically to match the wedding set) than the wedding set alone. Is there any reason that this would not be appropriate? If not, which order would I wear the rings, with the promise ring on first and the wedding band last or vice versa?
