     wedding band

I want to get matching bands and have each of us have a personal, short message engraved on the outside of the bands instead of the inside. When I asked about this in a jewelry store it sounded like it wasn't something that would work well. Should I consider something else because it would wear off too quickly?

Most Jewelry stores have the machine to engrave in the inside of rings only. Engraving on the outside of the band must be done by hand so you need to purchase the rings from a company that has the ability to do hand engraving and have the engraving cut deep into the rings so it will last a lifetime. The rings you want should be very personal and sounds like a very good idea. Don't let anyone change your mind.
