     wedding band question

hello, my fiance and i both picked out my wedding band, and i love it. my engagement ring is pretty wide (also beautiful) in size, so i opted to wear a wedding band on my left hand and my engagement ring on the right...they are both pretty flashy rings (i'm not used to wearing much jewelery, especially on my hands) is it ok to wear my engagement ring on my right hand and buy a much less flashy (more simplistic) ring for my left hand, and sometimes choose to wear just my wedding band on my left hand? do people do that?

please help before i throw the question out there for my fiance to ponder...

thanks!

Dear Wedding Band,

It is considered inappropriate to wear your wedding ring before you are married unless the rings are inseparable.

After you are married, you may wear your engagement ring on your right hand and your wedding ring on your left.
