My boyfriend proposed to me with a gorgeous engagement ring and then informed me that he had bought the matching band which is equally as gorgeous. Unfortunately I have always wanted a nice solid band to symbolize the never ending circle of love and the one he bought has four small diamonds in a setting on top of the band. My engagement ring is yellow gold with the diamonds set in white gold and he is getting a white gold band, would it be too impolite for me to ask for a thin white gold band for the ceremony as well and then wear that one inside my engagement ring with the other on the outside of my ring?

Dear Wants Another Ring,
You may ask for another ring if that is what you wish. But, you cannot wear your wedding ring before you are married. Plus, the ring that you decide is your wedding ring should be worn first on your finger after you are married.
