I was wondering is it ok once I get married to place my engagement ring somewere special, and just wear my wedding ring?
I am having a terrible time finding a ring that would match my engagement ring, and I like this idea, but is it ok?

Dear Ring,
An engagement ring is an option. So, you don't have to wear it. But, because your fiance probably gave it to you, he may feel slighted if you don't wear it. You could wear it on your right hand.

My fiance gave me ring that contained baguettes as well as regular round stones that sat beside the main marquis diamond.. We started the search for the wedding band. Luckily, I found one that matched perfectly, (after 6 jewelry stores!)but started to consider an insert I believe its called. This may be feasible although I do not what your ring looks like. They come in all different styles and of course some more expensive than others. Good Luck.

I replied to another thread similar to yours with a similar answer, but you may have the same solution.
I work at a jewelry store and I know that there IS a solution to your problem if you'd like to still wear your engagement ring with your wedding band.
Most jewelry stores have what are called restyling/remount events. They will bring in a jewelry expert who can custom make a piece just for you. Walk around inside your local mall and ask the stores if they have a remount show coming up any time soon. If they do, sign up for it. Let them know that you're looking for a matching band to go with your ring, and give them an idea of what you're looking for (metal type, band width, number/shape of diamonds or gemstones, etc) so that the jeweler can bring the necessary materials. Then on the day of the remount show, just go to the jewelers during your appointment time and they can custom make a band specifically to go with your ring.
This way, you can have exactly what you want, and wear both your rings at the same time.
Also, ask if they have a catalog of pieces they can order. Most stores have a catalog of mountings, bands, and other pieces that they do not carry in stock but can order. You may find what you are looking for in one of these catalogs.
