I am being asked to sing at my friends wedding. She said that I could pick the song. She like "pop" music. Any ideas?

We assume you mean that you'll be singing at the ceremony. If that's so, our suggestions would be "The Wedding Song", "Coming Home" and "Yours Mine & Ours". You can hear samples here.

Is the wedding going to be held in a church, outside, or in a venue? I don't know if you are a professional singer or not, so I thought the following might help you...

Things to think about....

1) Will you be supplying your own music, or singing without? If so, in what form? CD, Tape, Karaoke disk with or without microphone? Some churches and/or venues are very large and absorb sound. Often they have their own sound system. Consider coordinating with management a couple days prior to arrival so you know where everything is, test the sound BEFORE the wedding, etc.

2) If you will also be singing at the reception and you don't have a sound system or microphone, try coordinating with the DJ (if they will be having one) and make sure they can play your CD or tape, and/or provide you with a microphone so the guests will not have difficulty hearing you.
