Hello

In almost all of the pictures I have seen of brides in mantillas, they have their hair down. I would like to wear my hair up for my wedding. Is a "down" hairstyle more appropriate with a mantilla or can an updo work as well?

I love mantillas and it will go perfect with what you describe about your gown. You can have your hair up but don't change the way a mantilla should sit and that is on top of your updo with the edging falling along the side of your face. A mantilla placed otherwise will not work so it is more about placement than your hair underneath. A lower updo in the back may be better then one placed up high but have your trial run and let your gut decide. It all sounds lovely!!
