My wedding is in August 05 & I need suggestions for flowers. I would prefer only a few roses, if any at all, but my green thumb is nonexistent & I have no idea what other flowers are in season in August. My color is a burgundy/redish, & the wedding is semi-formal, if that helps.

[cool][] Hi there...Sorry i took a while to respond...on VACA...Anyway, you can get all sorts of nice flowers in August. When thinking about colors remind yourself that your red dresses are the background color for the flowers. So think about what you think looks good with red. Then the setting...Formal church or outdoor garden etc...Though roses are in full season there is no need to use them at all unless they are something you love. Gerber daisies come in really pretty colors, look for calla lilies, lisianthus, freesia and lilies...(Stargazers would be nice with the reds.)Even plain old daisies would be great...you need to narrow down your style...Go tho the library and look at flower books and I would also suggest you go to a flower shop and look at their wedding guides to get ideas...a picture is worth a thousand words...Good luck and I hope this helps....
