Im in a wedding this weekend & was wondering what the general etiquette is for transporting ones bridal party.
In this case, the bridesmaids will be riding to the church with the bride in a limo. However, after the ceremony, we are to make our own arrangements to get to the reception, since the bride & groom want time alone in the limo. I dont have a problem with that, but one of the bridesmaids, have said they felt like they are being "left hanging" . I myself just figure one of us can arrange to leave a car at the church & carpool to the reception. That way those of us without "dates" have a vehicle of our own & not have to depend on someone else.
How is this generally worked out? The bridal party has to arrange their own transport at some point, particularly at the end of the night.

does the bridal party ride in the limousine?

Typically, after the ceremony, the bride and the groom should be the only 2 in the limo. Did it occur to the bridesmaid that this day IS THEIR DAY!? Whatever the bride and groom want, should go -- your bridesmaid is being ridiculous -- its not HER day.
I've done hundreds of weddings -- I'd say 60% of the time the bride and groom are the only ones from ceremony -> reception. However, if the bride and groom don't mind, the bridal party can go.
It all depends on the bride and groom -- remember, its their day, not the bridesmaid who appears to be all up in a hissy.
