who gets wedding favors?

I am having a sit-down meal for the 40 guests who will be attending the ceremony. I know I should give these guests favors but what about the evening guests?

Favors are not mandatory so you can choose to give them or not. I'm not quite sure what you mean by "evening guests", however if you are giving favors please give them to all of your guests.
