Reception site and hotel in one - help paying?

Hello, I've found a wonderful (perfect) venue to host my wedding ceremony and reception. It is a large B&B; that will accommodate a large number of people for an overnight stay - however, it's an all or nothing deal - either I rent the entire place (overnight accommodations for 24) or not. My problem is that it is quite expensive to do this (aka-beyond my budget). However, I also don't want to be inappropriate, tacky or down right rude. As guests typically pay for their own overnight accommodations is there any appropriate/non-tacky way to ask those wishing overnight accommodations to contribute to the cost of the venue? Also, I'm planning on inviting more than 24 people to my wedding - so, is there any way I can extend invitations to a "select few" to stay in the B&B; with my fiance and myself while organizing with a local hotel to take reservations of any "overflow"?

Dear Wants the B&B;,

The only polite method is to send your Save the Dates with information about the B & B and the local hotels stating that if any are interested in staying at the B & B they will have to reserve and pay for their rooms soon.

If you wanted to call and talk to your friends about this you could do this also. But, it wouldn't be correct to make this sound as if they are paying for your wedding location. They are just reserving and paying for their rooms early.

If you do not receive enough interest in the B & B, then you either have to pay for the rest of the rooms yourself or change venues.

Best wishes,
