My mother-in-law is getting remarried and wants her two sons to give her away. The wedding is casual, but at a church. Would you call them groomsmen? Would they stand at the front with wedding party or would they need to sit down as a father would? Thanks for your help![:)]

Since they are taking on the role of the "father of the bride" they would sit down after they "give her away".

Do they have to have a title?

Dear Giving Away,

That is true. Her sons would simply sit down. They do not have a title.

Thank you so much for your input. She just wanted them listed in the program somehow, but I agree with you I didn't think they should stand up there as well. Thanks again!
