My husband, 3-year-old son and I are invited to my best friend's wedding which will take place in Columbus, Ohio on Saturday, November 26, Thanksgiving Weekend. The bride is wearing a formal gown and the groom will wear full tails. There will be numerous attendants...the women are wearing dark green dresses in their choice of style, and the men are wearing tuxedos with green/black printed vests. The wedding will be held in a church at 1:00pm, with a cake-and-punch reception immediately following the ceremony in the fellowship hall. Later, at 5:30pm, there will be a dinner reception at a country club. All of the bridal party will remain in their wedding attire. Both the church and country club will be decorated with a holiday theme...gold-dusted fruit at the church, pinecones and evergreens at the country club. I would like to know what types of clothes and colors will be appropriate for us to wear to these events. Thank you.

Dear Guest,
For the wedding, a suit for the both of you would be fine. Your young one could just dress in his nicest attire. You could also wear a very nice dress or separates that are in the same formality of a suit.
For the reception, a suit for your husband would be perfect with you in the little black dress or its equivalent would do. If you could find a great dress suit (a dress with matching jacket), you could probably get away with wearing the same outfit to both.
Best wishes,
